The Sacrament of First Holy Communion
The Sacrament of First Holy Communion is celebrated at St Catherine Labouré by children in Year 3 or above who have been Baptised and have celebrated their reconciliation.
Preparation for first Reconciliation takes place in the months preceding the preparation for First Holy Communion.
Any child attending school outside the parish but worshipping at St Catherine’s is welcome and encouraged to receive First Communion with the parish group.
All children intending to receive these sacraments in the parish group will be expected to follow the programme of preparation.
