Our Vision

Our Parish aspires to be a community where “truth and mercy embrace”. This embrace is enlivened by an ever-deepening encounter with the person of Jesus Christ through prayer and the reverent celebration of the sacraments — especially the Holy Eucharist. We want every person without exception to discover the beauty and genius of the Catholic faith and the singular joy that comes from pursuing the vocation and the adventure that is holiness. Our parish seeks to uphold and reverence the dignity of every human life and strives to remain faithful to the intellectual richness of the teachings of Christ and His Church “in and out of season”.

We firmly believe that every heart yearns for the gift of God’s mercy because every heart yearns to experience a peace that the world cannot give. In a world where the human spirit is often troubled by anxiety, worry, and stress, we seek to make our parish a place where every person – no matter who they are or what they have done – can experience the gift of the Lord’s healing. This is why our parish offers the Sacrament of Reconciliation every day. For mercy is “the bridge that connects God and man, opening our hearts to the hope of being loved forever despite our sinfulness.” Pope Francis, Misericordiae Vultus.

A parish founded upon mercy

We are a parish that recognises and defends the harmony of faith and reason. In the words of St Pope John Paul II: “God has placed in the human heart a desire to know the truth- in a word, to know himself- so that, by knowing and loving God, men and women may also come to the fullness of truth about themselves.” - St Pope John Paul II, Fides et Ratio. Indeed, it is our faith that convicts us and emboldens us to use our reason to consider and contemplate the deepest questions of our lives. We seek to make our parish, therefore, a place of genuine formation for people of all ages and backgrounds — where we can all grow in the knowledge, wisdom, and truth given to us by Christ and the magisterium of the Church. This is why our parish hosts regular talks, catechetical series, and bible studies — to nourish minds as well as hearts.
